Last August, my boyfriend told me that he was going to surprise me for our one year anniversary together. For about two weeks, he made me guess what the surprise was, but I had no clue! Then, on August 26th, he picked me up at my house and started to drive. He took lots of weird turns so I couldn’t figure out what states we were in, or see any signs to give away the surprise. Suddenly, he turned, and I saw the skyline of the city. I was so happy, because New York is my favorite city! He took me out to lunch at Planet Hollywood, and we went to the Central Park Zoo to see all of the animals. My favorite thing was watching the sea lions play around in the glass tank, so you could see them underwater. Then, we entered the ticket lottery for In the Heights, a Broadway show. The lottery is where you can get front row seats if you are lucky! His name happened to be called, and we got to sit in the front row, right in front of the pit! The whole experience was such an amazing one that I’m dying to go back again. I guess my boyfriend really knows a thing or two about dating in New York City!
