My best friend and I visited New York City in July of ’09. First off I need to say that I was sure that this trip would not be any good but I was wrong. The hotel we stayed at was in pretty good condition and was just a few minutes down from Times Square, which was the only place I wanted to see. We started to walk down there and there were plenty of sidewalk entertainers. They were so awesome to watch. We just sat there and watched them perform. It should have taken us about 5 minutes to walk down to Times Square but it took almost an hour because of all the performances we stopped to watch. We eventually got to Times Square. The first thing we did was go to a restaurant. I thought it was going to be very expensive but we found a pretty affordable one. The food was so good. When we got to Times Square I found myself somewhat mad. It seemed like this place would be so good but after seeing all the sidewalk performers. I still liked Times Square. Lots of people to interact with. We stayed for about a half hour then walked around more to see more performers. Needless to say I wound up loving New York City. I will be going for sure again.
