If you’ve been to New York City, you’re probably readily aware that anything can happen at any time in any place. But if you’ve never been to New York City on Halloween, you haven’t seen anything yet.
A few years ago, a friend of mine threw an incredible Halloween Party at his condo in the city, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The theme of the party was New York City, so all the attendees had to have costumes in some way related to the city. My girlfriend dressed up as a huge slice of traditional New York pepperoni pizza, and with a little help from her, I dressed up as the Statue of Liberty. As you can probably guess, my costume was an absolute hit, and most of the guests couldn’t believe how awesome the costume looked. I painted myself just like the Statue itself, and using a mix of cardboard, foam, and some other random materials, I transformed myself into the famous landmark. It got quite a few laughs out of everyone at the party, as well as from myself every time I had to go to the bathroom (which was a lot more difficult than usual).
As for the party itself, lets just say it was a whole heck of a lot of fun. I saw some awesome costumes ranging from Babe Ruth, all the way down to the Empire State Building. It’s safe to say we rang in Halloween in the best way possible, New York style.
