My favorite moment in New York City was Spring Break of 2003. Some people thought it was a strange place to go for Spring Break but me and my two friends had a blast! We stayed with some friends, which saved us a bundle on hotel accommodations. It was also very cool to have live-in tour guides! My favorite moment of the trip was experiencing Times Square. I had see it so often on television and I was just ecstatic to be able to experience it in person. My two friends and I hopped around to different restaurants and bars in Times Square and made all kinds of new friends! It was really the best Spring Break ever. We got to experience a whole new culture and that was absolutely the best part of the trip for me.
Also, during our trip we went to see Ground Zero. This was a very emotional moment for us, but it was so important to experience such a large part of our recent history. I am proud to say that I paid my respects to all of the fallen American citizens at Ground Zero. I would recommend anyone to go and experience New York City on vacation because it is so full of culture. I felt more complete as an American citizen when I returned home from New York City!
