One of my favorites times in NYC was when I was visiting my friend who’d gone off to culinary school. I decided to drive and meet her in the city, and we were going to explore! First, we ended up being bribed by a Chinese woman to have our picture drawn. Oh well, it was funny. After that, we started taking photographs of beautiful buildings as we continued exploring this new city. After getting ourselves terribly lost (we considered using the subway but decided against it), my friend said her chocolate senses were picking up a strong aroma. We wandered around a bit longer as we stumbled upon the Hershey Store. We continued to take pictures and have a wonderful time. I can’t believe what we ended up buying! We purchased pounds of solid chocolate and quarts of syrup! We also purchased an M&M Monopoly game that is worth much more that what we paid because it was not a retail item! I would say for not having any expectations for a trip, my friend and I made out wonderfully! And I just have to say, may everyone be blessed with a friend who is addicted to food. When you get lost in NYC, at least you’ll never starve! Though, if you’re like us, you might not have teeth afterward!
