Two summers ago I went on a vacation to New York with my family. We stayed for a week and enjoyed many of the sites one might visit while in New York: the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, etc. My favorite part of the trip, though, was when we went to a comedy club in Times Square. The food was forgettable, I don’t even remember what I had to eat, but the laughs were not. The headliners of the night were B.J. Novak from “The Office” and Paul Mooney. The jokes were nonstop and hilarious, I was literally crying from laughter. Being a man of comedy myself, I always enjoy a good laugh, especially if it goes on for two hours. Some of the funniest things I’ve ever heard were from my trip to New York at this specific comedy club. I would have to say my family enjoyed it as well. My mother, father, and brother could not stop laughing the whole time. This trip and comedy club actually inspired me to write my own jokes and try some stand up. If I were to visit New York again, I would try to find other, less popular places like this comedy club since I have already seen the big sites of New York.
