New York and baseball: now that is a great combination of fun, hate, love, and everything that comes with team spirit. I love the New York Yankees, and watching them during playoff season is like watching the most amazing film in the most amazing theater. You don t know what will come next, but you keep watching. For me, back in 2000 when I saw the Yankees win the series I cheered in joy. It was like all my dreams as a child, hoping to see my team become a winner, had been answered. Of course, I had to celebrate. I was in college at the time up at NYU, and me and a bunch of buddies went outside in the streets with a pack of beers and drank our hearts out.
We cheered with the rest of the city, drunk and happy. We were on cloud nine. And so, years after that great game, I am still a major fan of the Yankees. Every year during playoff season, I always find some of my friends in the area and we go to a local bar, get a few drinks, and watch the game on the television. We talk, reminisce, and cherish the fact that we are Yankees fans. While we can’t win every year, that doesn t stop our support of the Yankees. I have multiple Yankee shirts that I ll wear any day. But, during playoff season I wear them everyday. And the caps that I have, well you could probably fill a whole shoe closet with my caps. A fan from the start, from beginning to end.
